Mangualde STEM Academy announced on July 9 2021, within the scope of the 1st Regional Training Event of the Academy, the publication composed of two volumes: “Innovative Model for the Promotion of School Success at the Local Level” and “Interdisciplinary Activities from Pre-School to year 9”, with a launch in an online format, through the Youtube channel of the Academy.

The first volume presents the Academy's strategic and educational vision, and the way in which the Municipality, the Schools' Cluster and the Teacher Training Center, with the co-financing of the Intermunicipal Community of Viseu Dão Lafões within the scope of the Innovative Plan for the Promotion of Educational Success, implemented this vision together with partners, guardians and students, changing the educational dynamics of the municipality.

The second volume presents a selection of STEM teaching activities designed and implemented by the Academy's pedagogical teams, for Pre-School, years 2, 5 and 7 in the hope that they will be useful and inspiring, and can be adapted by the regional, national and international educational community.

The illustration of the dust jacket and the covers of the two volumes tell a story, from the signing of the collaboration protocol between the various partners at the Municipality of Mangualde, in April 2018, through the preparation and collaborative work of the teams involved, who wear the " yellow shirt” from the Academy and proceed to different learning environments, to implement STEM teaching activities that transform the daily lives of students, teachers and the municipality.
